[AIOT] How to Recover a Failed Flash of Tinker Board 2
1. Prepare a T-Flash (microSD) card with any Tinker Board 2S image (Tinker Board (junchengjj.com)) using Balena Etcher (balenaEtcher - Flash OS images to SD cards & USB drives).
- T-Flash spec: SDHC/SDXC
2. Ensure the DC power is disconnected from the Tinker Board 2 & 2S.
3. Open up the Tinker Board 2 & 2S, and insert this T-Flash into the SD card port on your Tinker Board 2 & 2S.
4. Move the J3 Jumper from the default Disabled state to MASKROM (Recovery) state.
5. Connect the Tinker Board 2 & 2S to PC via USB Type-c.
6. Plug in the DC adaptor and wait a few seconds for Tinker board 2S or Tinker Board 2 & 2S to boot. Your system will detect an USB mass storage on your computer.
7. Then you can flash the eMMC with Balena Etcher (balenaEtcher - Flash OS images to SD cards & USB drives) using the desirable build downloaded earlier.
- Note: Win32DiskImager is not recommended
8. After finishing the image flash, unplug the USB Type-C from PC, then unplug the DC power.
9. Switch the J3 jumper back to Disabled state.
10. Remove the T-Flash from the Tinker Board 2 & 2S and reassemble the system.
11. Plug in the DC adaptor to boot the device.
